Abstract Linear compressors have started to apply in refrigeration owing their oil-free operation, capacity modulation by variable stroke and higher seasonal efficiency. Nevertheless, linear are subject a high seal leakage loss piston offset (drift), particularly at pressure ratios. Meanwhile, there is reduction the accuracy of resonant frequency prediction due very nonlinear gas spring ratios, leading compressor Two-stage operation considered as feasible solution aforementioned issues lower ratio for each stage.
